The display is set to 60 hz at 4K resolution. I did notice the Advanced Display Properties setting says the display is 59 hz, not 60 hz–could that be the issue?

I am not using any external monitors with this laptop and I netflix 4k not working using the Netflix Windows App on the latest Windows update and with Dell Cinema also installed. Resolution is set to 4K. The weird thing is that I have another laptop that is 4K-capable to an external monitor, but it has only an HD display itself. Using this other laptop in standalone mode I do not use external monitorsthe Netflix app shows 4K badges–weird!
View solution in original post. The reinstall worked! And then are you using the Netflix app rather than Netflix through netflix 4k not working browser? The Netflix site mentions Edge as being possible, but it’s not clear whether that’s “legacy” Edge, the new Edge Chromium, or both.
