What is PAYE in Zimbabwe?
PAYE (Pay As You Earn) is a method of collecting income tax from employees in Zimbabwe. Employers deduct tax from employee salaries and remit it to ZIMRA on a monthly basis.
What is the tax-free threshold for 2025?
For USD earnings, the tax-free threshold is $100 per month. For ZiG earnings, it's Z$2,800 per month. Income below these thresholds is not subject to PAYE.
What is the AIDS Levy?
The AIDS Levy is a 3% tax on your calculated PAYE amount, used to fund Zimbabwe's national HIV/AIDS response programs. It's applied on top of your regular income tax.
